Studied in Women

What's actually in it. What it actually does.

Every ingredient, every dose, every trial it's been studied in. No proprietary blends. No hidden research. If you want to know why we picked what we picked, this is the whole answer.

Selection Criteria

How we chose every ingredient.

01

Must have human RCTs

Randomized controlled trials in humans, not rats. Mechanism data from animal studies is interesting, but it's not the same as knowing something works in a real body.

02

Must include women

Most supplement research has been done on men. For Aliine, we only included ingredients with evidence in women, because women's bodies run on different hormones, different rhythms, different stress responses.

03

Must hit the clinical dose

The dose in Aliine matches what the trials used. A lower dose is a different product. We don't under-dose to fit in a smaller bottle.

04

No proprietary blends

Every ingredient is listed by name and exact amount. No hiding behind a patented blend that could be 95% of one thing and 5% of another.

The Formula

Three ingredients. Deeply studied.

Each one earned its place. Here's what it is, what it does, and the evidence behind it.

01

Ashwagandha Root Extract

Standardized · High Withanolide
12+ RCTs on Women
What it is
An adaptogen root from the plant Withania somnifera, used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. Modern trials have focused on its ability to regulate the stress response at the hormonal level.
Evidence base
12+ randomized controlled trials, roughly 1,000 participants total, including multiple trials conducted specifically in women. One of the most consistently studied adaptogens in humans.
What it does
Clinically shown to reduce cortisol, lower perceived stress, and improve sleep quality and exercise capacity in women. The stress-reducing effect is the primary, human-validated mechanism.
How it works
Chronic stress raises cortisol. High cortisol drains your cells’ ability to function. Ashwagandha modulates the HPA axis (the stress-response system) so cortisol returns to a healthier baseline. That's the honest version.
02

L-Theanine

Pharmaceutical Grade · Tea-Derived
Systematic Review of 9 Trials
What it is
A naturally occurring amino acid found almost exclusively in green and black tea leaves. Responsible for the relaxed-but-alert feeling tea drinkers describe as different from coffee.
Evidence base
Systematic review of 9 human trials, including mixed-gender and female-specific studies, showing consistent effects on relaxation and attention under stress.
What it does
Sustained alertness without stimulation, with lower anxiety. Helps your attention land on what matters instead of scattering into noise.
How it works
Modulates GABA, serotonin, and dopamine, and increases alpha brain-wave activity, the frequency associated with focused-but-relaxed states. It is not a stimulant. It works by smoothing the stress response, not by pushing you.
03

Green Tea Extract

Standardized · 98% Polyphenols
Multiple Human RCTs
What it is
Concentrated extract from Camellia sinensis leaves, standardized to 98% polyphenols, the antioxidant compounds that give green tea most of its studied effects.
Evidence base
Multiple human RCTs on metabolism, cardiovascular markers, and antioxidant status. We're honest about the boundary: the mitochondrial biogenesis data is largely preclinical (animal studies). The human evidence is strongest for metabolic and antioxidant outcomes.
What it does
Supports cellular antioxidant defenses and the metabolic pathways your body uses to recover. Pairs with L-theanine for the kind of clear-headedness green tea drinkers describe.
How it works
EGCG and other polyphenols modulate oxidative stress and support the metabolic pathways your body uses to recover. What most women feel is not stimulation (98% less caffeine than a cup of coffee), but from supporting the cellular systems that keep your body functioning under load.
What we're honest about

What Aliine is not.

Aliine is a supplement. It supports a healthy stress response, sustained attention, and cellular antioxidant defenses. It is not a medication. It does not treat, cure, or prevent disease.

The claims on this page are structure-function claims per FDA guidelines. They describe what our ingredients support. They do not promise medical outcomes.

Aliine is not studied for pregnancy or breastfeeding and we do not recommend it for either. If you are on SSRIs, thyroid medication, or other prescriptions, talk to your doctor before starting. Your doctor knows your situation better than any label does.

Mitochondrial biogenesis research on green tea polyphenols is currently strongest in animal models. We keep the human-validated mechanisms front and center and flag where the evidence is still building.
